Smart Buildings
Connectivity solutions that support smart building technology for efficiency and insights.
Connectivity designed for luxury guests and 40+ stories.
Ensuring connectivity in a high-rise, luxury hotel is challenging. Dynamic guest traffic, premium design expectations and the size of the building make indoor cellular coverage difficult – especially during peak events or when nearby venues drive sudden surges in demand. After multiple stalled deployment attempts, this property grew understandably hesitant about choosing a new partner.
Coastal retreat gets a major upgrade.
A luxury coastal hotel with a gated resort community, upscale rooms and numerous amenities including extensive meeting and event space needed a discreet, fully managed mobile solution that could deliver flawless connectivity across a high-design property—without disrupting aesthetics, daily operations or the guest experience.
Real answers to industry misconceptions.
Mobile connectivity is changing by the day. When you partner with us, we bring the transparent guidance and seasoned insight today’s complex connectivity decisions demand.
Wi-Fi is enough for today’s guests, I’ll just add more access points.
Bust the Myth
Guests expect flawless Wi-Fi and reliable mobile signal everywhere—rooms, pools, elevators, basements, event spaces. A hybrid network is often the smartest investment, because adding more access points only works for so long before the upgrades become inefficient and potentially cost prohibitive.
Connectivity issues only affect convenience, not revenue.
Bust the Myth
Insufficient connectivity can reduce NPS, RevPAR, booking conversion rates, event revenue and guest return rates. Even one coverage gap can result in post-stay complaints and negative reviews, where recovery isn’t possible.
We can upgrade connectivity later when budgets free up.
Bust the Myth
Delaying usually increases costs and disrupts operations. Planning upfront reduces expense, prevents guest-impacting outages and prepares your hotel for fast-evolving tech like mobile keys and IoT systems. In new builds, installing before the walls go up can save as much as 20%.

How to think about connectivity.
Asset Management
Think in terms of value, NPS and long-term performance.
Mobile connectivity now influences NPS, RevPAR, guest satisfaction and overall asset value. Poor cellular and Wi-Fi coverage quietly hurts loyalty, increases churn and drives operational inefficiencies. When mobile performance is strong, loyalty guests engage more in app and spend more on property. Investing early—especially in new builds—reduces lifecycle cost, supports IoT systems and energy optimization, and strengthens long-term performance across the portfolio.
Real Estate & Development
Think in terms of cost control and futureproofing.
Connectivity decisions made late in construction almost always drive up costs and create delays. Planning upfront can save up to 20% and ensures the building is designed so LEED materials don’t block signal, smart-building systems work as intended, and the property delivers a truly mobile-first guest experience. When mobile performance is strong, loyalty guests engage more in app and spend more on property. A modern network becomes part of the infrastructure—not an afterthought—ensuring the property is ready for tomorrow’s operational and guest-facing technologies.
General Managers
Think in terms of guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
Guests expect flawless Wi-Fi and reliable mobile signal everywhere—rooms, elevators, pools, meeting spaces and basements. When coverage fails, it impacts reviews, loyalty and NPS. Strong mobile connectivity cuts complaints, improves staff coordination and keeps daily operations running smoothly—from mobile check-in to digital concierge tools.
Property Management
Think in terms of efficiency, uptime and risk reduction.
Hotel operations run on always-on mobile connectivity: HVAC controls, smart thermostats, POS, staff communications, package management, safety systems and IoT across the property. A unified, resilient network reduces maintenance calls, eliminates coverage gaps, improves energy efficiency and ensures compliance for devices like panic buttons and first responder radio coverage.
IT Leaders
Think in terms of security, performance and manageability.
The network is the backbone of the guest experience—from mobile access and loyalty apps to integrated POS and building systems. Fragmented or outdated mobile connectivity increases cyber and operational risk, creates IoT failures and drives up support costs. A consolidated, neutral-host network simplifies management, improves reliability and scales to support modernization without adding workload for your team.
Marketing & Brand Leaders
Think in terms of loyalty, experience and reputation.
Mobile connectivity directly impacts the moments that shape guest perception: mobile check-in, room selection, loyalty app performance, digital amenities, streaming and in-room personalization and digital signage. Poor connectivity drives negative reviews, lowers NPS, slows booking conversions and weakens brand consistency. When mobile performance is strong, loyalty guests engage more in app and spend more on property. Reliable, property-wide coverage strengthens the brand standard, supports personalization and powers the seamless experiences guests expect.
Answers to some common questions from clients like you:
How do you work with the Wireless Carriers?
Wireless Carriers are essential to every mobility solution, and our model makes collaboration faster, easier and more predictable. While carrier-funded systems are less common today, our venue-funded approach removes uncertainty for hotels while still creating value for Wireless Carriers.
- Secure guaranteed signal from AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile
- Align on design, power and optimization to meet Wireless Carrier standards
- Coordinate approvals for a seamless on-air transition
- Invite Wireless Carriers to contribute funding where applicable
- Continuously upgrade for next-gen technologies like 5G, C-Band and CBRS
Even when Wireless Carriers don’t fully fund the system, our structure makes participation attractive by reducing their capital burden and delivering network-aligned infrastructure that benefits the property, tenants, Wireless Carriers and end users. By planning upfront and leveraging our Wireless Carrier relationships to secure your seat at the table, these deployments achieve greater success.
Can outdoor cell towers and Wi-Fi solve the mobile connectivity needs of my property?
Macro cell towers are designed to serve large outdoor areas, not penetrate deep into buildings. Even if a tower is nearby, its signal weakens when it hits dense materials like concrete, steel or Low-E glass. In busy areas, towers can also become overloaded.
Wi-Fi and cellular solve different problems and are complementary. Think of a DAS like your major highway, far reaching and travels with you. Wi-Fi is like a private road off the highway—focused on a specific area and limited to those boundaries and speed limits. Wi-Fi delivers localized connectivity and is great for data on known devices, but it can’t replace cellular for things like voice calls, mobile payments, public safety and security, critical business applications, or indoor to outdoor use cases. Cellular DAS or Private Networks provide higher reliability, better mobility and stronger security.
How do we measure the ROI of a connectivity upgrade?
ROI is measured through higher RevPAR, increased NPS, guest engagement, loyalty app usage, reduced complaints and operational efficiencies through smart building systems.
How long does it take to deploy a full property solution?
Deployment timelines depend on property size and complexity, but planning upfront and integrating connectivity into design or renovations reduces installation time and disruption. Often, the longest part of the process is securing signal source from the Wireless Carriers if required.
Do I need 5G for my property?
Today’s 5G operates across two different architectures: Standalone 5G (C-Band and 2.5GHz) versus 5G-New Radio “5G-NR” that is built on 4G LTE infrastructure. Standalone 5G requires Wireless Carriers to deploy on newly available, high-frequency spectrum. This can present challenges operationally and financially. However, not every property is a perfect candidate for Standalone 5G.
| 4G LTE / 5G-NR | 5G C-Band / 2.5GHz | |
| Use Cases | Streaming; Web Browsing; Video Calls; Social Media | Multi-device, simultaneous ultra-HD streaming; AR/VR; Gaming; Smart Cities and IoT in large usage; Remote Surgery |
| Property Type | Standard office environments | High-density, high-capacity properties like stadiums, airports or large manufacturing facilities |
| Cost | More efficient | High cost |
| Speed | Up to ~100Mbps | ~300Mbps+ (Proven); 1-10Gbps (Theoretical) |
| Latency | ~30-50ms | ~1-10ms |
| Network Availability | Nearly everywhere | Still rolling out |
| Devices | Works on most existing phones | Requires 5G-compatible device |
