Your DAS is past its prime.

An aging Distributed Antenna System (DAS) can look fine on paper—but in practice it may be silently failing your tenants, guests and employees. Outdated equipment struggles with modern devices, 5G requirements and high-bandwidth applications and environments. Monitoring and maintaining the DAS results in increased performance gaps and operational strains:

  • Refresh timeline: Upgrading a DAS isn’t like replacing a router. A full refresh with Wireless Carrier integration can take time and failing systems have no quick fixes.
  • Extended maintenance lifecycles: Early 2G to 4G DAS systems are often beyond their lifecycle. Parts are scarce and repairs can stretch from weeks to months.
  • Higher operating costs: Longer maintenance windows mean more downtime, extra truck rolls and higher operational costs.
  • System performance: Older DAS consume 3x more space, power and cooling, cannot meet 5G demands and increase energy costs.
  • Limited visibility: Legacy systems lack modern monitoring because they cannot detect 5G.

Aging DAS often occur in historical and legacy buildings which makes it even more challenging for phones and devices. Glass, steel, concrete and lots of people and devices can turn “full signal” into dead zones, dropped calls or slow connectivity in your building.
